Lesley Lawson was born in Neasden, London, England in 1949.
At the age of 17 her life turned upside down , when she got appointment at House of Leonard in Mayfair. When Leonard saw her She had come to have her shoulder-length hair trimmed for some modeling test shots, but Mr. Leonard himself offered to pay for her pictures if she would model a new style he had in mind. He dyed her hair blonde, and gave her a crop that was even shorter than Vidal Sassoon’s daring five-point cut. It took eight hours that first time, but when it was done, her boyfriend, Justin de Villeneuve (himself a hairdresser with Sassoon), was delighted with the result: “[She] looked like Bambi,” he thought. “I knew then that she really was going to make it.”
Photographers were shocked while taking Twiggy's Photos.Camera just loved her.
Twiggy has really only been modeling for less than a year,” Richard Avedon, one of fashion’s most influential photographers, observed in The New Yorker in 1967. “I didn’t know what to expect of her. But I found that the moment she was under the lights she performed as all the finest models do.”
Her Big eyes were catching attention in a second. She became somehow symbol of 60-ies and 70ies. as well as she was very popular model who had modelled in France, Japan, and the U.S., and landed on the covers of Vogue and The Tatler. Her fame had spread worldwide
